Relay allows you to build folders and sub-folders to store and organize your course videos. Keeping a storage and file system with easy navigation to specific videos will be helpful when embedding your videos in the LMS.
Below are the steps involved with creating folders and sub-folders in the system:
Step 1: Login to Relay by going to https://athens.techsmithrelay.com and entering your username and password. If you have not setup your initial login on Relay, please view the How to Set Up Your Initial TechSmith Relay Password help file to set up your information. Once on the login screen, click the "Create" drop-down menu on the left hand side of the screen. (see image below)
Step 2: In the options on the Create drop-down menu, select "New Folder". (see image below)
Step 3: Create a name for your folder and click "Create". (see image below)
NOTE*: If you are developing videos for multiple courses, it is a good practice to create a folder for each course at this point.
Step 4: Once your folder is created, you can click on the folder to enter it. (see image below)
Step 5: Once in the folder, you will be able to create additional folders and store media. You will know where you are in the sub-folder by looking at the breadcrumb navigation at the top of the folder. From here, you can create sub-folders by following the method you used in Steps 1 - 3. Since you are in the "Course Folder", when you create new folders, they will be located within the course folder. (see image below)
NOTE*: If you are going to reuse a lecture from semester to semester (i.e. general theory lectures, course navigation videos, etc.), you will probably place those videos in this main folder. If you have items that will change consistently (i.e. homework solutions, weekly introductions, answers to questions, etc.), you will probably want to create a sub-folder for those areas.
Step 6: You can create as many sub-folders as necessary to manage your files within a given course. Each of the sub-folders will appear in the "Course Folder". (see image below)
Step 7: As you build more Course Level Folders and sub-folders, you can easily navigate back and forth between them by using the navigation pane on the left hand side of the screen. (see image below)
