Access Athens
Faculty-
Access Athens LTI must be installed in Blackboard for the following publishers
- Cengage
- Pearson
- Jones and Bartlett
- McGraw-Hill (if the selected textbook does NOT come with Connect; check with the publisher/bookstore)
To install Access Athens in the course –
- Access Athens must be install in a content area (Suggest inserting the link in the Course Orientation section)
- Select Tools (at the top)
- Scroll to the bottom and click on “Access Athens”
The Access Athens link must be visible to students, if you are using:
- Cengage without courseware (Mindtap, Aplia, SAM, etc.); check with the publisher
- Pearson
- Jones and Bartlett
- McGraw-Hill (if the selected textbook does NOT come with Connect; check with the publisher)
Faculty will need two links for students to get their textbook – one for Access Athens and another to publisher.
The Access Athens link can be hidden from student if you are using
- Cengage with courseware (Mindtap, Aplia, SAM, etc.); check with the publisher. It does not matter if the instructor is using the courseware or not. If the selected textbook comes with courseware, these directions are applicable.
- The instructor must create a course in Mindtap, Aplia, SAM, etc., and assign the textbook/chapters (if applicable), and/or an assignment.
- After completing the above step, go to the designated Blackboard course and in a content area select
- “Partner Content”
- “Cengage Learning”
- Find your course and select it.
- Student must click on an assignment or an assigned chapter to get to the textbook.
