Use the Zoom tool in Blackboard to easily schedule, manage, and launch meetings from your Blackboard course site. It also provides a convenient way for students to find and join class meetings.
Create Menu Item
Select + icon in Vertical Navigation Bar, and select CONTENT AREA
Name Menu Item
Type a name for your link (i.e. Zoom Meetings). Select the box AVAILABLE TO USERS. Select SUBMIT.
Embed the Zoom Tool
- 1. Select the Zoom button in the vertical menu.
- 2. Select TOOLS from the top menu bar.
- 3. Select MORE TOOLS at the bottom of the dropdown menu
- 4. Select ZOOM from the list.
Complete Zoom LTI setup
Type a name for the Zoom tool link. Type a description in the window below. Select SAVE.
Launch Zoom Tool
Select underlined text to launch Zoom tool to schedule, manage, and start meetings.
Schedule Zoom Meeting
Select the blue button entitled SCHEDULE A NEW MEETING
Select Options
Complete option fields for TOPIC, DESCRIPTION, WHEN, etc.
Select SAVE
Start Zoom Meeting
When you want to start your meeting, select the START button
(The student view is exactly the same, except their option is to JOIN the meeting.)
