If you are located outside the United States and receive a GEO_IP_BLOCK message when trying to access our student portal, this typically means your current IP address is restricted due to regional access controls.
Troubleshooting Steps
To resolve this issue, you can use a VPN to change your IP address to one based in the Americas (such as the United States). One recommended option is the Opera web browser, which includes a free built-in VPN.
Step 1: Download and Install Opera
👉 https://www.opera.com/browsers/opera
Follow the installation instructions for your device (Windows, macOS, Android, or iOS).
Step 2: Enable the Free VPN in Opera
👉 Learn more about Opera’s Free VPN
- Open Opera.
- Go to Settings (or Preferences on Mac).
- Search for “VPN” and enable it.
- Set your virtual location to Americas or United States.
Step 3: Access the Portal
After enabling the VPN and selecting a U.S.-based location, try accessing the student portal again. You should now be able to log in without receiving the GEO_IP_BLOCK message.
Note:
You are not required to use Opera. Any VPN that allows you to set your IP address to a location within the United States should work.
