Removing the old “Syllabus” course link and replacing with the Simple Syllabus option.

To remove the old Syllabus course link in your Canvas course, navigate to your course.

In the Canvas course navigation menu, click Settings.

In the Course Settings menu, choose the Navigation tab.

In the Navigation menu, locate the Syllabus course link and click the vertical ellipsis (three dot) menu, and choose Disable.

Alternatively, you can drag and drop the Syllabus option to the lower section that is labeled “Drag here to hide this option from students.”

Enable the Simple Syllabus course link if it is not currently enabled by clicking the vertical ellipsis (three dot) menu and choosing Enable.

Once enabled, drag the Simple Syllabus link to the top of the course where the old Syllabus link resided.

Scroll down and click Save.
