On Monday, May 11, 2026, active adjunct faculty with a @my.athens.edu email account will transition to an @athens.edu email account.
This change will improve service reliability and provide a more unified experience across the university.

Use your new athens.edu email address for Athens State University accounts.
What to Expect
The MyAthens password for accessing your email will not change.
This password is also used for Canvas and MyAthens Portal.
If you do not know the password but it is auto filled on your web browser, learn how to view your saved password for your web browser:
If necessary, write the MyAthens password down.
After confirming the MyAthens password, it is necessary to clear the web browser’s cache and cookies (All-Time history).
Clearing the web browser’s cache and cookies improves web browser performance and ensures you see the latest version of a website.
After clearing the web browser’s cache and cookies, log in to your Athens State University accounts using your new @athens.edu email address and MyAthens password.
