Yuja is a software tool use at Athens state to create, edit, and share video content. You may be given an assignment by your instructor that requires you to create and share videos for your classes. This tutorial will show you how to do that. Follow these steps to create and share your videos in Blackboard, you'll access YuJa through two different tools in Blackboard. The YuJa creator and the YuJa Media chooser. Use the YuJa creator to create and edit videos. You can find this in the vertical navigation menu of your course in Blackboard. Use the YuJa Media chooser, share videos with your instructor or the class. You can find this tool through the submission and discussion post windows in Blackboard. First, let's look at how to create videos in YuJa. In Blackboard, go to the course you are creating the video for. Click on the YuJa Creator tool and the vertical navigation menu. This will open up your personal YuJa account library where you can manage your videos by creating folders, moving and deleting files. When you hover your mouse over the thumbnail of the video, a menu of options appear, including play, Share, Publish, delete, edit, and more. The Creator tool is also where you'll upload media content. Just click on the Upload button at the top of the screen. The Creator tool is where you'll go to record a new video. Click on Create recording. On the drop-down menu, you'll see two options. We strongly recommend that you choose the option to record from your Windows, PC, or Mac, so that the recording records directly to your computer. This improves the video quality and makes losing your work far less likely. The first time you record to your computer, you'll need to download and install the recording app. Do this by clicking on the download button. It will only take a few minutes to start recording. Click the Start button. In the window that opens. Select Open YuJa Software Capture. Recording screen will open, giving you options. On the left-hand side, you'll see options for video. Here you can turn your webcam on and off. The audio menu. Let you choose your microphone. The screen option is where you'll select whether or not you record your screen. Once you have your settings adjusted the way you want, click on the Start button on the lower right to begin recording. You'll see a three-to-one countdown began on the screen to let you know when the recording has started. If you chose the screencasts option, the recording will capture your screen. If you chose to turn on your camera, the recording will capture what is coming through your camera or your webcam. When you're finished recording, select the Stop button. In the window that opens. Select Save. This will automatically upload the new video to your YuJa library. It will take a few minutes for your video to process. So don't stress out if you see colored dots on the thumbnail. Once you've created and edited your video, you can share it. Depending on how your instructor has written the assignment, you may have different instructions on how to turn the video in. You may turn it into Blackboard as an assignment, or you may be asked to post it to a blackboard discussion posts. Either way, you'll use the huge immediate user to submit your finished video as an assignment in Blackboard. Follow these steps. Navigate to the assignment in Blackboard. When the submission screen appears, click the right Submission button. In the window that opens, you'll see a menu of options. You may need to click the three horizontal dots to get all of the options to appear. Select the plus sign with a circle around it. Scroll down to the bottom and select the YuJa mediates user. This will take you to your YuJa video library. Select the video that you'd like to add. By clicking on the thumbnail, you'll see a blue outline around the video that you chose. Scroll down to the bottom of the pop-up box by sliding the outer great tool. And then select insert content. This will embed your video into the Assignment window. Click the submit button. Your video has now been submitted as an assignment. To submit your finished video to a discussion post on Blackboard. Follow these steps. Click on Discussions in the Blackboard navigation menu. Click Create Thread. Give it a title. And then again, you'll locate the plus sign with a circle around it. Scroll down and select YuJa Media chooser. This will again take you to your YuJa video library. Select the video that you'd like to insert. Click, Insert Content. Click, submit. And this will post your video into the discussion. If you ever need access to, you just Support click on the YuJa Creator tool in the navigation menu. This pulls up your media library again. Select the account icon. And then to support, this will pull up a wide range of support options and videos. Thank you for watching.
