Using your existing browser, navigate to microsoft.com/edge
This will take you to the Microsoft Edge download page.
Confirm that your computer’s OS is listed under the Download Edge button in the middle of the page. You can use the drop-down arrow to select a different operating system. Click the Download button.
Review the License Terms and decide if you want to supply Microsoft with optional diagnostic data.
Click Accept and download. The file may automatically save to your default save location.
If the install does not automatically begin, run the MicrosoftEdgeSetup.exe file.
If you see a User Account Control screen, click Yes to continue the installation.
Edge will begin downloading the full program and automatically install opening when it has finished.
macOS
Using your existing browser, navigate to microsoft.com/edge
This will take you to the Google Edge download page.
Confirm that your computer’s OS is listed under the Download Edge button in the middle of the page. You can use the drop-down arrow to select a different operating system. Click the Download button.
Confirm which type of Mac that you have. There are instructions to review if you are uncertain.
Review the License Terms and decide if you want to supply Microsoft with optional diagnostic data. Click Accept and download.
The install pkg file will begin downloading.
Once it has finished, it should automatically extract.
Complete the steps presented by the installer.
Once the installation is complete you can locate the Edge browser via the Launchpad.
Managing Pop-ups in Microsoft Edge
By default, Microsoft Edge automatically blocks pop-ups. When a pop-up is blocked, the address bar will be marked Pop-up blocked.
If you would like to allow pop-ups from the site you are visiting you can click the Pop-up blocked notification and select the Always allow pop-ups and redirects option. Confirm the web address matches first.
Clicking the Manage button will take you to the Privacy and Security settings for Pop-ups where you can select to block all pop-ups, allow all pop-ups or add specific exceptions.

If you still get pop-ups after disabling them you may have previously subscribed to receive notifications from a site.
You can block notifications if you don’t want any communications from a site to show up on your screen.
Your computer or phone may be infected by malware.

Turn pop-ups on or off
At the top right, click More and select Settings.
Scroll down to Cookies and site permissions and click Pop-ups and redirects.
At the top, turn the setting to Allowed or Blocked.
You can add specific sites to Block or Allow pop-ups from by clicking the applicable Add button on this screen.
To capture all pop-ups across the site, use the pattern [*.]example.com.
Managing Cookies in Microsoft Edge
In Edge click the Customize and Control Menu button and select Settings.
Select Cookies and site permissions on the left-hand side and click Cookies and site data.
Confirm that the toggle is set to ON for Allow sites to save and read cookie data.
Clearing the Cache & History in Microsoft Edge
In Edge, click the three dots in the upper right corner, then select settings
Select Privacy, search, and services on the right and click Choose what to clear
Time range should be "All time"
Check each box
"Clear Data"
Close the browser and then reopen it to complete the process.
